Our project will be to collaborate with the Lui Velazquez gallery (http://www.luivelazquez.com/) and the ALTBIT project (http://trac.superluser.net/altbit/) and create a freephone (free payphone) that sits right outside the turnstiles of the US/Mexico border so that people getting deported from the US can call their families. For our performative gesture, we will put up signs and make maps and document a day in the life of this freephone.
